A spring wedding at Appleford Estate, Alexis and Ben’s day had the kind of quiet Main Line elegance that feels completely at home in a historic garden setting.
Appleford is one of my favorite places to photograph — tucked away, intimate, and layered with so much natural beauty. I arrived before the bridal party and spent the early part of the day styling details in the stillness of the estate, with the gardens just outside and birdsong in the background. It set the tone for a wedding that felt refined, personal, and beautifully unfussy.
The rain arrived just as portraits wrapped, then softened enough for the outdoor ceremony to begin. As Alexis walked down the aisle, it started to pour — and somehow, that only made the moment more memorable. Clear umbrellas, lush green trees, and a ceremony full of laughter gave the day a romantic, whimsical quality.
With soft white florals by Belovely Floral Co., sage bridesmaid dresses, champagne towers, and a tented reception tucked into the estate grounds, this Appleford Estate wedding was classic, joyful, and full of easy family warmth.
