The hum of bees, the scent of lavender, and the warmth of the late summer sun—Lily & Kevin’s engagement session at Warwick Furnace Lavender Farm felt like we had been transported to the South of France. From the moment we stepped into the stone-walled garden, with its timeless charm and soft golden light, the world beyond the farm seemed to disappear.

Lily, a lover of the outdoors, moved through the garden with ease, unbothered by the gentle buzz of honeybees nearby. Her first look, a light blue dress with a romantic, French-inspired silhouette, felt perfectly at home against the weathered stone and lush greenery. Kevin’s linen blazer and khaki trousers added a relaxed sophistication, making the pair look effortlessly in step with one another.

As the sun dipped lower, we wandered into the lavender fields just as the sky began to blush. Lily’s outfit change—a chic pink dress in one of this season’s most romantic shades—was a vision against the rows of violet blooms. The color mirrored the sunset so seamlessly, it was as if the evening had dressed to match her. Kevin’s attire, timeless and versatile, carried the elegance of the garden straight into the fields.

Here, with the air rich in lavender and the horizon washed in pink and gold, Lily & Kevin shared quiet laughter and thoughtful conversation. They mused about the charm of Chester County and how this countryside might one day be where they start a family.

Photographing them in this setting was a dream—one of those sessions where every detail aligned: the light, the colors, the location, and most of all, the way they look at each other. In the heart of Pennsylvania, we found a little piece of Provence, and a love story that fit right in.

I’m already counting down the days until I get to capture their wedding at the Inn at Barley Sheaf next June!
