The Fairmount Park Horticulture Center is one of my favorite Philadelphia venues. Within those towering greenhouse walls, the possibilities are endless! Each year, Starr Events hosts their annual bespoke bridal event, “Love is in the Air,” at the center and each year I’m reminded of just how spectacular the venue is. This year, the folks at Starr organized vendor teams and tasked them with creating a themed display that would showcase their services to potential clients. Led by the talented Christiane of Truly You Events, our team put together a charming “Party en Provence.”
Lovely provided some stunning gowns for our models to wear. My personal favorite was the Lovers Society Riley Gown. With long lace sleeves and a low open back, the dress was soft, but still edgy, giving it a classically French sexiness! Lexi from Everlaser created custom wooden hoops with sweet French phrases which Petals Lane decorated with natural greenery. We used these as place settings and larger installation pieces. Maggpie Vintage supplied a beautiful chippy white table for the sweetheart table that looked like it belonged at a chateau garden party and Vision Furniture provided a pair of elegant chateau-style dining chairs— perfect for this little soiree. We finished the table with romantic grey linen from Party Rental and matching Grey taper candles!
And of course, no Party en Provence would be complete without touches of lavender! The Papery designed an invite suite that perfectly captured the sharp, clean scent of lavender in paper form— graceful deckle-edged paper, dipper in purple watercolor, sophisticated script and monogram encircled with a lavender graphic. Starr Events provided a vast array of French-inspired baked goods including, you guessed it, lavender scented macaroons.
It was such a pleasure to work with so many amazing friendors and I loved capturing all of the gorgeous, thoughtful details! And I was so honored to have this shoot featured in the inaugural issue of Philadelphia’s Modern Luxury Magazine!
