An Intimate and Bold Joshua Tree Elopement | Emily Wren Photography

Jun 6, 2016

Bride amongst cacti at a desert destination wedding

The other-worldly terrain of Joshua Tree was the perfect backdrop for this bohemian chic elopement. Inspired by the hues of a Southwestern sunset, with bold orange, pink, and burnt yellow accents. Our palette also included muted greens and blues, taking a cue from the surrounding cacti and desert vegetation. The faded colors of the landscape really allowed our rich color palette to pop! This was especially true with the lush floral arrangements by Birch & Bone, which included a brilliant pink protea and bright orange roses. The geometric wedding altar was a real inspirational jumping off point for us. We incorporated a lot of geometric elements into the rest of the decor, including the plates and planters. Free People provided us with The Callie Set bridal gown, a cropped dress from their Ever After collection. The gorgeous flowing skirt evoked an ethereal and carefree mood that became a real focal point of the shoot. To see more pictures from this shoot check out the feature on Green Wedding Shoes!! Also featured in Destinations Wedding & Honeymoon’s Magazine and Elle Magazine Taiwan!
