Genna & Patrick’s garden-inspired black tie wedding at Jasna Polana in Princeton, NJ, was timeless, romantic, and full of heart. Every detail reflected their style with an effortless elegance—blending meaningful traditions with modern touches and a relaxed, garden-inspired feel.

Their day began at Genna’s childhood home, followed by a beautiful church ceremony in Princeton. Afterward, the newlyweds made their way to Jasna Polana in a vintage Rolls Royce for portraits in the golden autumn light and an unforgettable reception in the venue’s stunning glass-walled ballroom. Designed with care by Arielle Fera Events and captured by my associate photographer, Sarah, it was a celebration filled with beauty, joy, and love.

A Morning at Home

Genna spent the morning getting ready at her family home—a house full of memories, where the day felt even more special surrounded by the people who know her best.

There was an emotional first look with her father, followed by a joyful moment with her bridesmaids as they saw her in her dress for the first time. Genna looked effortlessly elegant in a classic off-the-shoulder ballgown, with a dramatic train and soft veil, carrying a bouquet of white orchids, roses, and cream-toned blooms by Ivy on Main Floral.

A Princeton NJ Wedding Ceremony

Genna & Patrick chose not to do a first look, saving that moment for the aisle. Their traditional Catholic ceremony took place at St. Paul Parish in the heart of Princeton. The sanctuary’s beautiful stone architecture provided a timeless setting as they exchanged vows in front of their closest family and friends.

After their first kiss as husband and wife, they exited the church to cheers and a shower of white rose petals from their bridal party—a joyful, picture-perfect moment to begin the celebration.

Portraits Among the Gardens

A vintage Rolls Royce whisked them away from the church to Jasna Polana, where we took full advantage of the crisp October light and the estate’s incredible grounds for portraits.

From the grand gates to the reflecting pool and manicured gardens, every backdrop was stunning. Genna’s classic gown moved beautifully in the breeze, and together, she and Patrick brought an understated grace and warmth to each moment.

Photographed by my talented associate Sarah, these portraits really reflect the energy of the day. One of Sarah’s great strengths is her ability to tune in to the mood of a couple—capturing genuine connection in a way that feels authentic, not posed. The result is a set of images that feel as effortless as the celebration itself.

With their wedding party in timeless black tuxedos and navy blue gowns, the entire aesthetic felt elevated, cohesive, and effortlessly chic—perfectly suited to their garden-inspired black tie wedding at Jasna Polana.

A Glass-Walled Ballroom Reception

The reception was held in Jasna Polana’s glass-enclosed ballroom—one of the most unique spaces in Princeton. Though formal and elegant, the ballroom’s sweeping windows and garden views gave the celebration an airy, open feel—far from the stuffiness of a typical ballroom.

Arielle Fera Events and Ivy on Main Floral styled the space in a sophisticated palette of neutrals: creamy whites, soft blush, and natural greenery. Tables were set with textured linens, gold-rimmed chargers, crystal glassware, and glowing candlelight. The florals ranged from lush low arrangements to towering centerpieces that created height and drama without feeling overwhelming.

From the first dance to the packed dance floor powered by EBE Talent’s Sydney Band, the evening was full of energy and joy.

Family and friends gave heartfelt toasts, laughter rang through the glass ballroom, and golden hour outside gave way to a cozy evening filled with love and celebration.

From start to finish, Genna & Patrick’s Princeton NJ wedding was a beautiful reflection of their love—classic, personal, and full of timeless charm.
