Marissa’s bridal style epitomized classic elegance, perfectly complementing the rustic charm of The Ryland Inn. Her sophisticated gown featured a sleek silhouette with a dramatic bow at the back, a style that melded timeless grace with modern simplicity. The delicate pearl necklace and her graceful updo, perfected by Ariel Katrina Hair, highlighted her radiant beauty, adding a touch of old-world charm. 

After getting ready, Marissa shared heartfelt first looks that set the tone for the day. The emotional reveal with her father was a tender moment, his reaction a silent testimony to the bond they shared. Next, Marissa’s bridesmaids, draped in soft blue, witnessed her bridal elegance, and the happy tears continued right up to her first look with Patrick.

The Ryland Inn’s picturesque grounds offered a splendid canvas for Marissa and Patrick’s wedding portraits. I could not stop laughing at Patrick’s ability to jump over Marissa’s head for a photo!

Nestled against the elegant backdrop of The Ryland Inn, Marissa and Patrick’s wedding day was picture-perfect, featuring an outdoor ceremony that captivated all with its serene beauty and heartfelt moments. The venue was transformed into a romantic oasis, with rows of pristine white chairs flanked by opulent floral arrangements, from FabuFloras, bursting with soft blues, delicate pinks, and pristine whites. Each arrangement was carefully placed to create a picturesque aisle leading to a grand, flower-adorned archway that promised a new beginning for the couple.

Adding a unique and adorable twist to their ceremony, Marissa and Patrick chose their beloved dog, Lily, to be the flower girl. Lily, adorned with a floral collar, trotted down the aisle with grace, her presence bringing smiles and a light-hearted joy to the guests. 

As the vows were exchanged under the soft, diffused light of the afternoon sun, the air was filled with the palpable warmth of love and the gentle rustle of trees. In a heartfelt tribute to Patrick’s father, a world-renowned butterfly collector who couldn’t attend, the couple released butterflies during the ceremony, honoring his spirit and passion. The ceremony concluded with a whimsical bubble exit, creating a magical atmosphere as countless bubbles danced around the newlyweds while they walked down the aisle, hand in hand, amidst cheers from family and friends.

The reception at The Ryland Inn was nothing short of breathtaking, with each detail meticulously planned by Olive Street Events to create an ambiance of chic joy. The grandeur of the venue’s architectural features, such as the rustic stone fireplace, was elegantly juxtaposed with lush floral arrangements by FabuFloras, bringing an air of enchanted garden indoors. Tables were dressed in pristine white linens, accented with gold cutlery and crystal glassware that sparkled under the soft lighting. Each setting was marked by a stylish menu, tucked into a navy and white striped napkin that added a pop of pattern to the clean table design. Centerpieces of towering glass vases filled with hydrangeas, roses, and delicate greenery stood as focal points, inviting the eyes to linger over their intricate details.

The reception was a true bacchanalia, a celebration characterized by unrestrained revelry and freedom, where Marissa and Patrick passed out fake teeth and multi-colored wigs, capturing the playful spirit that seemed to infect every guest in attendance. The night crescendoed with the couple’s participation in a lively family tradition—dancing to the iconic “New York, New York.” Guests enthusiastically threw colorful, soft items at the happy couple, each toss adding to the festive spirit. The evening culminated in an exuberant pile of people, a joyous celebration of love and community that was perfectly captured in the laughter and smiles of all who attended.
