Set against the lush landscapes of Vermont, Christina and Willie’s summer wedding at the Hermitage Inn was a heartfelt celebration that I had the privilege of capturing. Traveling from Philadelphia to Vermont was an adventure in itself, but the beauty of the surroundings and the warmth of the couple made every mile worth it. The sophisticated color palette of steel blue, light pink coral, and gold accents added an elegant touch, reflecting the couple’s style and the depth of their love story.

The Hermitage Inn, A Venue Steeped in History and Love

The Hermitage Inn, a historic gem in Vermont, provided the perfect backdrop for Christina and Willie’s special day. Recently remodeled into a stylish boutique hotel by a couple who had previously gotten married there a few years prior, the inn has been transformed with love and care, preserving its charm while adding modern touches. Surrounded by lush greenery and blooming lupine fields, the venue set the stage for an unforgettable celebration. Christina and Willie’s connection to Vermont made the location even more meaningful, as it was near her family’s lodge where they spent significant time together and where Willie proposed.

Intimate Moments Alone

Before the ceremony, Christina and Willie shared a private first look and vow reading, moments brimming with raw emotion that showcased their profound connection. On my way to the venue that morning, I discovered an incredible sprawling field of lupine flowers, reminiscent of a scenic painting. Instantly, I knew this picturesque vista would be perfect for a portrait session with the couple. By sheer luck, after their first look, we managed to whisk Christina and Willie away to this field just before the rain began. Surrounded by the native alpine flowers, they were up to their elbows in blooms, creating a meaningful and stunning portrait opportunity that captured the essence of their love story. This serene interlude allowed the couple to spend precious time alone, absorbing the significance of the day ahead.

Embracing the Rain: A Magical Touch to the Evening

As their white tent wedding reception began, the weather took an unexpected turn, with rain starting to fall. However, rather than dampening the spirits, the rain added a magical touch to the evening. The couple embraced the weather, taking stunning night portraits as raindrops gently fell around them.

Christina and Willie’s wedding at the Hermitage Inn was more than just a wedding; it was a celebration of their love, shared experiences, and the beautiful journey that brought them to this moment. I was overjoyed to capture their special day amidst the stunning natural beauty of Vermont. The intimate summer wedding, with its breathtaking color palette and meaningful location, was truly memorable. Christina and Willie are wonderful people, and I am incredibly grateful they brought me out to document their day, which was filled with love, joy, and unforgettable memories for everyone who attended.
