Clare & Andrew’s wedding was a study in the romance of early spring. All of the details– from the delicate lace overlaying Clare’s gown, to the palette of cream, blush, gold and green–call to mind the way spring transforms the landscape with its subtle radiance.
The Inn at Barley Sheaf Farm was the perfect venue to showcase Clare & Andrew’s blend of sophistication and natural charm. When Clare & Andrew pulled up to the manor house in the Rolls Royce provided by Advanced Limos, it was a moment of pure British countryside luxury. Inside, A Cottage Gardener had brought the historic barn to life with cascading greens and artful sprays of barely blushing flowers.
In processing the pictures of Andrew & Clare, together, and with their family and friends, the word that kept coming up for me was glow. They look lit from within and I loved all the ways this radiance recurred throughout the day. I found it in the glittering detail on the bridesmaids’ dresses and Clare’s t-strap shoes, Andrew’s commemorative cufflinks, the lingering afternoon light gleaming through the trees, the elegant gold table number holders and, perhaps most deliciously, in the dazzling metallic-inflected cake from Felix’s Caketeria!
Congratulations, Clare & Andrew! Thank you for sharing some of your wedding day glow with us!
