Ashley and Matthew’s wedding unfolded with the feeling of a midsummer evening in an English garden—lush, romantic, and softly whimsical. Set at The Inn at Barley Sheaf Farm, the celebration leaned fully into an enchanted garden aesthetic, with florals by Sebesta Design shaping the atmosphere from the very beginning. Their designs layered natural movement, garden textures, and seasonal color in a way that felt immersive and effortless, allowing the setting to feel alive as guests arrived.
This romantic garden wedding at The Inn at Barley Sheaf Farm carried a clear sense of intention throughout the celebration. Thoughtful design, layered florals, and the natural beauty of the estate worked together to create an atmosphere that felt warm, immersive, and deeply inviting—like stepping into a summer garden as it comes fully into bloom.

A Thoughtful Start to the Day
The morning began inside the Inn, where Ashley prepared in rooms filled with natural light, antique furnishings, and layered architectural details. The space itself offered a beautiful sense of calm and continuity, setting the tone for the day ahead.
Her invitation suite from Minted reflected the spirit of the celebration—romantic and refined, with a palette that echoed the surrounding gardens. Styled alongside soft florals and textured linens, the paper goods felt fully at home in the setting.
Ashley’s beauty look complemented the environment perfectly. Top Knots by Aimee and Make Me Up Eva highlighted her natural elegance, creating a look that felt polished, timeless, and entirely her own.

A Garden-Inspired Ceremony Inside the Barn
Due to the summer heat and the possibility of storms, the ceremony was held inside the barn—an easy and elegant transition that felt completely at home within the setting. Designed by Sebesta Design, the space was already rich with garden-inspired florals woven along the barn rafters, creating a layered, organic backdrop for the ceremony.
The ceremony itself was full of warmth and joy. Eight flower girls made their way down the aisle, filling the space with movement and anticipation, followed by guests showering the aisle with flower petals as Ashley and Matthew recessed together. Laughter and tears moved easily through the room as they shared personal vows, creating a moment that felt immersive and heartfelt. The barn’s light, scale, and thoughtful floral design supported the energy of the ceremony so naturally that it never read as a secondary option—it felt like a beautiful, intentional setting for a celebration that was already unfolding with ease.

Portraits around the Estate Grounds
Portraits unfolded as we moved through the estate grounds, using stone paths, mature trees, and garden views as natural frames. By working efficiently and embracing variety, we were able to create a collection of images that felt lively and expressive. The energy of the afternoon—walking, pausing, laughing—became part of the rhythm of the portraits, resulting in photographs that felt connected to both the setting and to Ashley and Matthew themselves.

An Evening at the Estate
Cocktail hour unfolded on the back patio of the Inn, where guests gathered along the lawn framed by manicured boxwood gardens and mature trees offering dappled summer shade. The setting encouraged an easy rhythm—guests mingling across the patio, conversations carrying through the gardens, and the estate grounds fully coming into view as the afternoon softened into evening.
As the celebration moved into the barn for the reception, the space revealed a romantic, garden-forward atmosphere designed by Sebesta Design. English garden–inspired florals filled the room with layered greenery, soft blooms, and natural movement that echoed the landscape outside. Candlelight and thoughtful floral placement brought warmth to the barn’s architecture, creating an inviting environment that felt cohesive with the estate setting. The transition from garden to barn carried the tone of the day forward seamlessly, grounding the evening in beauty, intention, and a strong sense of place.
