Maddie and Mike’s engagement session unfolded with a sense of ease, playfulness, and genuine connection as we wandered through some of Old City’s most timeless corners. From the sweeping curves of the Merchants’ Exchange Building to the stately columns of the Second Bank of the United States and the quiet greenery of the 18th Century Garden, each location offered a classic backdrop that matched their energy together. Maddie is completely at ease in front of the camera, and Mike’s affection for her is effortless and constant—making the session feel relaxed, joyful, and natural to document. Their engagement session also gave us the chance to photograph them in the warmth of summer and explore a different part of the city than we will on their wedding day, and I’m so looking forward to carrying that familiarity and connection into their winter celebration at the Union League of Philadelphia this November.
