Some love stories feel like they were always meant to be. Jane and Nik’s wedding day was a gentle unfolding of that kind of love—a day rooted in family legacy and brought to life with fresh blooms and timeless elegance. Set in the heart of winter, their celebration felt like a promise of spring, as soft petals and pastel hues hinted at the beauty just ahead.

Planned with care by Ariel Ferra and adorned with exquisite florals by Whisper + Brook, this day was a masterclass in classic romance and thoughtful design. The palette—an ethereal blend of pure white, whipped cream, cultured pearl, and French blue—set the tone for a celebration both meaningful and utterly beautiful. Accents of dusty rose and blush added warmth and depth, all delicately grounded with touches of silver.

Every detail carried personal significance. Jane prepared for the day in her parents’ home—the very place she was raised, which once belonged to her grandmother and where her parents were married decades ago. It was here that we recreated family wedding portraits, echoing generations of love and tradition. Their ceremony took place at Saint John Vianney, the couple’s family church, steeped in memory and sacred milestones.

Elegant Bridal Preparations at Home

Jane began her wedding day in the most meaningful place imaginable—her childhood home. Once her grandmother’s house, it’s also where her parents were married years before, making it a deeply sentimental setting for her to step into her own next chapter. We had the honor of recreating cherished family wedding photos, echoing the love that had always filled these walls.

As golden morning light poured in through the windows, Jane slipped into her long-sleeve lace gown—a vision of refined romance. The gown featured a high neckline and sheer sleeves embroidered with delicate floral lace, exuding vintage elegance while remaining utterly timeless. Her look was completed with a sleek low bun and fresh, dewy makeup by Sofia Serrano Beauty, giving her an effortlessly graceful glow.

Her bridesmaids, dressed in ethereal French blue gowns with intricate floral embroidery and wrapped in soft faux-fur stoles, shared in her joy as they helped her with the finishing touches. The air was filled with quiet anticipation and pure happiness.

Portraits at Philadelphia Country Club

Jane and Nik shared their first look on the stone terrace at Philadelphia Country Club, framed by winter’s crisp golden light. Her intricate lace gown shimmered against the soft blue gray of the bridesmaid dresses with their embroidered floral detailing that tied perfectly into the wedding’s palette.

The club’s classic architecture and sprawling grounds offered a serene backdrop for their portraits—warm and neutral with just enough texture to allow their colors to shine. It was a portrait session filled with joy, quiet connection, and a beautiful balance of refinement and intimacy.

A Ceremony Awash in Florals and Meaning

Saint John Vianney Church was transformed into a romantic garden with florals growing gently along the aisle, as if sprouting up from the floor itself. The design—a controlled growing garden of cream, white, blush, and soft blue—created the feeling of stepping into something magical and sacred. The altar bloomed with cascading arrangements, softening the rich wood tones and creating a beautiful contrast between the historical space and the delicate palette.

Surrounded by generations of family and love, Jane walked down the aisle in a long-sleeved lace gown, the soft train trailing behind her like a whisper. The ceremony was heartfelt and reverent—filled with meaning, history, and beauty in every corner.

A Reception of Quiet Luxury and Garden Romance

The reception space at Philadelphia Country Club was transformed into an ethereal garden, layered in textures and candlelight. Dusty blue linens from BBJ La Tavola provided the softest canvas for lush floral installations in blush, dusty rose, ivory, and sky blue. Crystal candelabras climbed with florals, while Monet candle holders flickered gently between bud vases and gathered blooms. The effect was timeless yet fresh—an invitation to linger, sip, and savor.

The sweetheart table was truly a centerpiece of romance. Reimagining the church aisle florals, Whisper + Brook created a lush floral nest for the newlyweds, framed by candlelight and backed by a regal pedestal champagne stand. It was a dreamy nook designed for joy.

Guests were welcomed with signature cocktails—the Espresso Martini “Seattle’s Best” and Mezcal Negroni “South Philly Special”—before dining beneath the glow of chandeliers and soft music. The wedding cake, detailed with vintage-inspired piping, stood tall in elegance, flanked by pandan and birthday cakes in honor of family traditions.

Every element was intentional. Every color carefully chosen. And every moment—from getting ready to the last dance—was steeped in legacy and love.
