Steph & Matt wanted their wedding to feel like an intimate and relaxed garden party, and they couldn’t have chosen a more perfect venue than the always elegant Terrain at Styers.
As family and friends arrived they were greeted by a welcome drink of lavender lemonade before making their way into the ceremony space. There, oversized baskets, masterfully arranged by Terrain’s floral team, brimmed with an assortment of flowers in vivid hues of marigold, blush pink, lavender, and sun-kissed orange. It was a perfectly playful & vibrant color palette that matched the warm joy of a summer wedding.
Steph’s bouquet was a statement piece, a lush collection of her favorite flowers, tied together with a vintage silk ribbon. Wispy tendrils of Queen Anne’s Lace and cosmos peeked around the more structured peonies and roses, creating a beautifully organic and romantic look.
The bridesmaids carried smaller versions of the bridal bouquet that perfectly complemented each of their individually styled dresses. The bridesmaid’s bouquets each tailored slightly to represent their own unique personality, while still adhering to the overall garden theme. The groom and groomsmen wore boutonnieres made of ranunculus and sprigs of rosemary, bringing a nice pop of color to their blue suits.
For the reception, the centerpieces were a mix of vintage glass bud vases, each filled with a unique assortment of flowers. The mix of pastels, deep hues, and whimsical blooms created a dynamic visual throughout the space. Each table was adorned with Terrain’s floral arrangements of varying heights, intertwined with delicate fairy lights that added a magical touch as the evening progressed. The garden feel was enhanced by birdcages filled with flowers and votive candles hung from trees around the venue with pathways lined by lanterns and more bud vases.
But the true centerpiece of the day was the bride, Steph, who chose an ethereal Alena Leena gown complemented by her cascading locks that embodied her carefree and radiant aura. A stunning custom ring by Catbird completed her elegant yet boho look.
It truly was a day where the couple’s love for gardening, nature, and each other was celebrated in the most beautiful way. The florals, with their just-picked-from-the-garden feel, played a pivotal role in bringing the couple’s vision to life, making it a day to remember for all who were present.
I am honored to have Steph & Matt’s summer garden wedding be featured by Wedding Chicks!
