Refined sophistication and tons of romance for this quintessential Cape Cod wedding.
Long-line silver-gray skies and crisp ocean air set a sublime and romantic tone for Elizabeth and Greg’s beachside Cape Cod wedding. Their invitations (designed by the talented Michaela McBride) were printed on white-cap ivories and soft, seashell pinks and featured delicate, gold calligraphy. Welcome bags tied with silk ribbon and the couple’s monogram were filled with New England, beach-themed treats like Cape Cod chips and white chocolate starfish candies.
Elizabeth wore a flowing gown embellished with twining vines of intricate floral lace. In a nod to the colors from the couple’s invitations, the bridesmaids wore mismatched Amsale gowns in that wonderful shade of soft seashell pink. After a seriously dreamy first-look on the boardwalk, we took the ladies to meet up with the dashing tuxedoed groomsmen for some Vogue-style portraits on the lawn. This was a crazy stylish group and I loved the impact they had set against the manicured hedges and posing in the billowing beachgrass! With portraits complete, we prepared for the ceremony. Chic, acrylic Chiavari chairs provided an elegant and modern contrast to the classic Cape Cod views of the Nantucket Sound. And Beach Plum Florals brought fairytale levels of romance with an aisle covered in delicate, white petals leading to an arch of diaphanous white blooms! After Liz & Greg exchanged their vows and recessed to a shower of tossed petals, everyone headed into the Harbor Room for the reception.
Inside, ivory linen tables were set with centerpieces of white and blush florals at varying heights, surrounded by gold accents and flickering candles. Wrap-around French doors fill the room with light and gave guests a beautiful view of the harbor. And just wait until you see the spectacular seating chart display from Beach Plum Florals— a literal explosion of emerald greenery and ivory blooms! As the sunset, the skies grew dark and the sound faded from view, but inside there was nothing but light and laughter as Elizabeth & Greg celebrated with their friends and loved ones. A perfectly gorgeous end to a perfectly gorgeous day!
