Teresa and Matt’s early May wedding at the Hotel du Village in New Hope was everything a spring wedding aspires to be –sweet, whimsical, and overflowing with flowers! It’s no surprise that every element of this day was on point, because Teresa is a lifestyle blogger with a serious sense of style. The pale pink palette, and bold aesthetic flourishes are signatures of Teresa’s, and she made sure to collaborate with some amazing artisans to bring her vision to life.
Twisted Willow incorporated gorgeous garden blooms into the ceremony and reception with a style both traditionally beautiful and utterly inventive. From the acrylic welcome sign and vintage bicycle, to the legs of the piano at the reception, Twisted Willow elegantly transformed every item that they touched so that it appeared to have spontaneously burst into bloom! And the soft, romantic arch of pink, cream, and peach flowers set in fresh, wild greens for the ceremony was absolutely breathtaking!
In keeping with the blend of tradition and innovation, Matt and Teresa embraced the classics on their big day–like Teresa’s ethereal Hayley Paige wedding gown, her bridesmaids’ petal pink BHLDN dresses, and Matt’s smart suit from The Black Tux—while bringing in some edgier accents like acrylic, metallic and even distressed denim (in the form of the MRS. embroidered jean jacket Teresa donned on the dancefloor!) that felt fresh and vibrant. The pair also brought a contemporary consciousness to their wedding rings, choosing conflict-free rings from Brilliant Earth.
The elegant, welcoming Hotel du Village was the perfect venue for Matt and Teresa’s celebration. The French country estate in New Hope, PA boasts incredible light filled windows, ensuring that the gorgeous spring weather followed the guests inside after the ceremony. Hotel du Village also offers delicious, authentic farm to table meals for its guests, at tables decked with overflowing floral arrangements. The wedding cake, (adorned with even more Twisted Willow flowers!) was a sweet dream, but guests could also indulge in a little rustic dessert fun, roasting marshmallows for s’mores over an outdoor fire pit!
From the close-knit wedding party, to Teresa’s first dances with her dad and grandfather, and Matt’s first dance with his mom, to a bar named after the couple’s dog Merlin, it was clear how much love Teresa and Matt are surrounded by in their lives. As someone who has always loved sifting through family photographs, I was completely charmed by the slideshow of childhood pictures of Matt and Teresa that played throughout the reception. Matt & Teresa crafted a day that was so them– inside and out–and the experience was truly magical!
Congratulations, Matt & Teresa! It was a pleasure to share your special day with you!
