Cherry blossom season is one of my favorite times of the year, it feels like all of nature is celebrating the arrival of spring– so I was thrilled to find Philadelphia’s cherry trees in peak-bloom for Morgan & John’s Horticulture Center wedding!
No matter how many time I’ve seen cherry trees bloom, it always leaves me awestruck! The delicate and festive blossoms are like all-natural fireworks for lucky couples who get the timing right! Morgan & John made the most of the cherry blossom season, with a palette of smokey pinks and burgundies. I loved the way Morgan’s bouquet and her bridesmaids’ gowns referenced the cherry blossoms but with a sophisticated edge.
And, in choosing the Horticulture Center as their venue, Morgan, and John ensured that, whatever the weather was like on the day they were married, their wedding party would be inundated with natural light and lush greenery. Not a bad idea for an early spring wedding! The easy warmth that these elements provided was the perfect backdrop for Morgan & John to shine–you can see it in their faces as they listened to the toasts and speeches or when they hit the dance floor with their friends. The Horticulture Center also provided an amazing opportunity for Katie Werner to add mood and dimension to an already lush environment with floral arrangements cascading across tables and suspended from the ceiling for maximum drama.
Morgan & John’s wedding shared the same mix of excitement and vibrancy that has made cherry blossom season a centuries-old cause for celebration and it was a pleasure to get to share their day with them! Congratulations, Morgan & John!
