The sun behaves differently in California. It’s as if she can tell just how breathtaking the landscape is here. In Marin County, rolling hills, waves of spun gold grass, ocean-like swells of olive trees, and miles of emerald vineyards on the horizon—a particular kind of West Coast magic. How can anyone blame the sun for lingering? And I’m glad it does, because there’s nothing quite like the incredible quality of that California light!

To me, this perfect sunset and tall grass feel like quintessential California. That setting alone, made it easy to find inspiration for our Bay Area shoot. It was also a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with some amazing West Coast creatives. Holiday-Celebrate created a beautiful color palette of soft blues, pinks, and whites that she incorporated into every aspect of the shoot. From the whisper of indigo in the ceremony backdrop to the pale coral blossoms alongside the teal and white of the invitation suite, these crisp clean colors were the perfect addition to the sun-soaked scenery.
