A dash of Royal Stewart Tartan, a touch of twinkling lights, and a frosting of freshly fallen snow— it’s a wonderful wedding! Danielle and Christopher’s December wedding at Terrain was the stuff of holiday dreams. The bride in her fur stole and tartan heels hair and makeup by True Beauty Marks, the groom in his bow tie to match. Endless rows of gorgeous green firs and sparkling lights all around. As the couple and their loved ones dressed for the ceremony, snow began to fall. We almost missed the portraits because the snow was causing so much traffic! Luckily, we made it in time and were able to capture the wintry magic.
Terrain felt like the perfect place for snowy wedding pictures with their tree farm and sled tableaux! Inside, it was warm. Peppermint pink blooms from Sebesta Design popped against the altar of conifers and ferns. Bridesmaids in beaded blush. Groomsmen In well-coordinated shades of gray. Endless strands of lights to set the ceremony sparkling as the couple was married by their dear friend! Then, as husband and wife, Danielle and Christopher treated their guests to a spectacular, festive reception. With expert help from Confetti & Co.’s Sara Murray, the venue was transformed— trees decorated with custom ornaments featuring photos of the happy couple, mini ice cream sandwiches in seasonal flavors, marshmallow chandeliers floating above a hot chocolate bar, the cheerfully lit Tiny Tin photo booth, and “It’s a Wonderful Life” projected onto one of the venue walls! There were even holiday movie-themed cocktails to enjoy, “Zsuzsu’s Petals” with its candy cane garnish and the “Mule Shoot Your Eye Out!” In glistening copper mugs!
Just as it grew dark, I stole Danielle and Christopher away from their guests for a quiet portrait session beneath Terrain’s Indian wedding temple. Underneath a layer of sparkling snow, the intricately carved structure glowed. It was as if Danielle had wanted the moon, and Cristopher decided to throw a lasso around it and pull it down.

I’m so honored to have Danielle & Chris’ wedding featured in Philadelphia Wedding!

My husband and I could not have been happier than we were with Emily and Nick. They made us feel so comfortable on our wedding day; they were always present and never intrusive. Everyone was able to enjoy themselves and we got some amazing candid photos. Emily was able to capture a natural atmosphere throughout the day and night. We had a surprise snow storm which made for the most gorgeous photos we could have imagined and Emily and Nick took it in stride and also captured our photos quickly so we weren’t outside freezing too long! As a family (my parents, brother and sister-in-law), we’ve already decided that we are using Emily again for family portraits and maternity photos (when the time comes!). We all loved her and were so happy with the entire process from beginning to end. We cannot recommend her enough! – Danielle & Chris
